Objective

Maximise awareness of Argos’ 2016 Christmas Yetis TV advert with a suitable video for editorial placement that highlights the campaign’s core messaging, and is suitable for publication across UK media.

Solution

We worked with Argos’ in-house team to produce a 60 second social video version of the TV ad, that featured two of the ads original Yeti cast visiting London’s top tourist sites on rollerblades to entertain members of the public a few days before the TV ad went live. The final film is a hybrid music video/PR stunt film, and features some of London’s most recognisable locations as well as cooler, more on-campaign locations, such as Southbank’s skate park. Our media liaisons team then distributed to video to UK national media.

Results

Over 18 national press websites published the video including Huffington Post, Mirror Online, Sun Online and the Daily Star, clocking up over 500,000+ videos in the first 24 hours.
